I believe we should invite grief, sorrow, and fear out of the shadows and embrace the experience of death and dying as part of the human experience. When we embrace all parts of our lives, not only the positive aspects of it, we also embrace the sacred responsibility of remembering who we are. This class is an introduction to death Doula's work. In this class we will cover; *What a death doula is. *How death doula is different from other end-of-life professionals. *Providing support and comfort to the terminally ill. *Holding space for someone. *Discussing Advance Care directives. *Discussing after-death body care, burial, and funerals. *Educating the family on the dying process. *Basic skills of counseling.
